What is Colorado Mtn Select?

The goal of Colorado Soccer Association is to provide a challenging soccer environment to all players in the state so that they can reach their potential in the game. CO Select is a program designed to offer top-level, dedicated players an avenue to train, grow and
compete with other talented players. CO Select is the name we have given to ODP in Colorado. They are one and the same. Due to Covid, the last few years of Mtn Region CO Select was suspended.

Fields Brown is a highly respected coach in Colorado and West Region of ODP. He and his wife Kelly, former Head Women’s Coach at Regis University, have moved their family to Steamboat Springs. Fields will head up a staff of highly rated coaches who are ready to restart CO Select and offer top-level training to dedicated players in the Mtn. Region.

What is CO Mountain Select?

It is an extension of CO Select, which is Colorado’s name for the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP). It is designed to recognize, train, and promote elite soccer players in Colorado’s Mountain Region.

March 3, 2024 Spring Clinic

This one-day clinic will offer 2 sessions for our players, aiming to get them back on the field and ready for their Spring seasons. This is open for any interested player in the Mountain Region, and we are ecstatic to open this up to our 2013, and 2014 Boys and Girls age groups. 


The cost of the clinic will be $25 and will have 2 sessions.


Those time frames will be:

10:30-11:45 (2007/8, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 Girls)
12:00-1:15 (2007/8, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 Boys)

1:30-2:45 (2007/8, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 Girls)
3:00-4:15 ((2007/8, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 Boys)



Fall Tryouts & Fall Training

This will be our only event for the Spring season given the weather and the timing of Spring events. We will look to have our tryouts in August (17th and 18th) of this year so plan accordingly, and this is when the 2014 age group will be included in the program! We will then look to have monthly training sessions for the entire program on the following dates:


  • Sunday, September 29th (Location TBD)
  • Sunday, October 27th (Grand Junction)
  • Saturday, November 16th and Sunday, November 17th (Windsor)
  • Saturday,. December 14th OR Sunday, December 15th (Grand Junction)

West Region ODP Championship, Phoenix, Arizona

This is THE EVENT! This is an opportunity to take our program and compete against others in the West Region at an amazing complex and great competition. Some 13 months ago we laid out the plan for establishing our Mountain Select Program and the 2024 Championships is the end goal for our initial planning. So for those selected, this will be an amazing opportunity in your soccer journey!


Below are the players from WESA who were selected to represent Colorado across various age groups in Phoenix in January 2024! These players played against other states, and were watched by college coaches and national team coaches.
